DRUPAL MODULE / MEDIA & PUBLISHING

Cloudflare Stream

Connects Drupal video fields and media to Cloudflare Stream for uploading, streaming and synchronizing video.

What it does.

Cloudflare Stream connects Drupal video fields and media to Cloudflare’s hosted video service. Editors upload through Drupal while the service handles streaming delivery, reducing the amount of video infrastructure the site needs to manage.

An optional synchronization module imports videos already present in Cloudflare Stream as Drupal media items. The integration can retain original uploads locally or omit them, and exposes playback settings such as autoplay, looping and muting.

Capabilities.

  • Cloudflare video fields and hosted-video media
  • Optional synchronization from Cloudflare into Drupal media
  • Drush synchronization command
  • Control over retaining original uploads
  • Autoplay, loop and mute display settings

Using the module.

  1. Use a Cloudflare account with Stream enabled and configure the integration under Drupal’s media settings.
  2. Add the Cloudflare Video field or use the configured hosted-video media type.
  3. Enable Cloudflare Stream Sync when importing service-side videos is required.
