DRUPAL THEME / CONTENT & EDITING

Carbon Lite

A Drupal theme drawing on the visual principles of IBM’s Carbon Design System.

What it does.

Carbon Lite is a Drupal theme inspired by IBM’s Carbon Design System. Its source includes IBM Plex font families and templates for forms, navigation, tables and page layout, giving developers a starting point for a consistent site interface.

The theme defines dedicated branding, navigation, user tools, sidebar and footer regions. It extends Classy, and its development workflow uses Gulp to compile styles and scripts. These details describe the published 1.x source rather than a separately verified production release.

Capabilities.

  • Classy-based Drupal theme
  • IBM Plex font assets
  • Templates for forms, navigation and tables
  • Sidebar and multi-region footer layouts
  • Gulp build and watch workflow

Using the theme.

  1. The 1.x metadata declares Drupal ^8 || ^9 and requires the Classy base theme.
  2. Use the repository’s development instructions for dependency installation and Gulp compilation.
