CameraField

Provides a CCK field for capturing webcam images and attaching them to Drupal content.

What it does.

CameraField introduces a webcam capture field for CCK-based content. Instead of choosing an existing image file, an editor can capture an image while creating content and attach it through the field.

Captured images are presented as thumbnails that link to the original. The documented setup belongs to the Drupal 6 generation: it requires CCK, module-level camera settings and a Camera field widget on the content type.

Capabilities.

  • Webcam capture as a content field
  • Thumbnail display linked to the original image
  • Camera field type and widget for CCK

Using the module.

  1. For the documented Drupal 6 branch, install CCK before CameraField.
  2. Configure camera settings, add a Camera field to a content type and select the Camera Field widget.
